Another good thing for cramps is quinine. Get sugar-free tonic water and have a glass of it (on ice with a bit of lemon) before bed. I was reading an article in WebMD about using methol for my arthritis. Since I'm on metformin I want to cut down on the number of medications I take but Tums I take for nausea. One of the main reasons that Tums has calcium is becuase it leashes out calcium from the body. while it may be enough extra for a some folks, for many it is not.
