Leg cramps are sometimes--not always--a sign of a calcium deficiency; as Tums

has calcium. . . .

Another good thing for cramps is quinine. Get sugar-free tonic water and have a

glass of it (on ice with a bit of lemon) before bed. (Be sure to read the lable

to be sure that it is made with real quinine; some brands are just quinine

flavored.)

Marilyn, Please explain that one. I was reading an article in WebMD

about using methol for my arthritis. Since I'm on metformin I want

to cut down on the number of medications I take but Tums I take for

nausea. Not to get too technical but how does Tums for leg cramps

work?

FYI

Tums may not work for calcium deficeincy in all people. One of the

main reasons that Tums has calcium is becuase it leashes out calcium

from the body. while it may be enough extra for a some folks, for

many it is not.
