Diabetes is a formidable foe, I grant you that, but life would not be worth living if all that consumed you or you consumed was stress related, what would be the point of living? I am not saying make your whole life food, but most family events and even business related events all revolve around some form of meal. While I surely do not suggest, you dive in to the dessert table, I would suggest salad, veggies and a piece of lean meast. Nothing heroic about denying opurselves everything. You can even have a little dessert. Remember I said a little! :-) Bruce, may I ask you a personal question? Who was it you saw go down hill from diabetes? Have you ever considered how short a time we have had the blessing of a home BG test kit? How easy it is for us to see almost immediately how each food " gets us " ? I would really like to help you remove this terrible burden you are carrying, you give me the chance and maybe it can be done. Okay? No complications. Eyes are fine. Kidneys are fine. Feet are fine. Circulation is fine. No damage.
