Guest guest
Hi everyone. I just wanted to say that you are so right about firing a doctor that does not inform correctly. I am so grateful for the same myself, however there are those that can not afford healthcare. There is this family close to us who has no insurance, they have a daughter type 1 and use insulin OTC. I have taken her to the doctor myself and paid for her visits. Some people never get this luxury and must suffer with diabetes out of control because of money. This really gets me upset. Ok my rant is over. Candi > Greetings all! > > I have been too busy to post lately, but I skim the > digests to see what's up. And I have to say, all > those posters whose concerns were ignored by doctors > REALLY angered me! I mean really. Guest guest
Here in NY, I don't know if there are any reduced/free health care clinics, but there is a Diabetes clinic that I'm going to, that should only cost me about $140, from the quote that I was given. An adult can get medicaid if they are totally incapacited for 30 days and can only get 30 days of benefits MAX If im lucky I might be able to get my hospital bill paid. Also a law was repealed, and now insurance DOES NOT HAVE TO cover diabetics. i have been on the phone all day with insurance companies, the CDE , the hospital, the ADA, the insurance comissoin and my lawyer. I am a type one and cant be covered. There are a few places that will cover me after a preexisting of 12 months IF I have no appointments or meds for the disease in those twelve months. Now someone tell me HTH I can do that?? Im thorougly disgusted at this point. Im facing spending my entire life without insurance until someone gets elected who is willing to pull there head out and realize people need help.
