Guest guest
Strawberry Celebration Serves 12 2 small boxes sugar-free instant strawberry gelatin 4 cup ice cubes 2 cup boiling water 1 (8 oz) carton fat-free whipped topping 1 (20 oz) can strawberry pie filling Pour gelatin into a large mixing bowl. Add boiling water and stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Add 4 cups of ice cubes and stir until the gelatin begins to thicken. Remove any unmelted ice and stir in whipped topping. Refrigerate until slightly thickened, about 20 minutes. Remove from the refrigerator and gently stir in strawberry pie filling. Spoon into 12 serving bowls (parfait or wine glasses work well). Refrigerate overnight. Note: Flavored gelatins and other fruit pie fillings can be substituted for strawberries. Give cherries and raspberries a try! 90 Calories;0g Fat;0mg Chol;21g Carbs;2g Protein;50mg Sodium;0g Fiber Marilyn Moderator for Diabetic_Recipes dnevessr@... Guest guest
Why use sugar-free gelatin and then add canned strawberry pie filling which is full of sugar? The latter would undo all the good in the former. Guest guest
I know many people think like that, but I do not. I often save in one area in order to have more in another. This principal will apply to almost every thing in life. I'm not approving OR disapproving of the receipt just commenting on the principal. Not to mention the " fat-free whipped topping " that is also loaded with sugar. >Why use sugar-free gelatin and then add canned strawberry pie filling >which is full of sugar?
