Hello, My name is Jimmy. I am 37 an have had diabetes

for 24 years. I have had some medical issues in this time.

I lost my right eye an right great toe cause of the

diabetes. Been in the hospital to many times to count

with low an high blood sugers. I was on renal dialyisis

for close to 3 years, dew to diabeties. Then it almost took

my life new years morning of 1999. My blood sugar

droped very low while I was rideing my motor cycle on

a very curve road. The last thing I rembered was seeing

the speedometer reading 110 mph. The police estamated

130 mph plus in a 35 mph curve. I woke up 6 weeks

latter in the hospital with a few broke bones an on

dialysis. I have learned a lot about diabetes an hope to

share with people who need to know what can happen

when diabetes controls you. I also look foward to

learning from what other people have already learned.

My bloodsugars are in good control these days an have

been forthe last 2 years. I now live with my girlfriend

an she helps keep me lined out. I have gained weight in

the last year an only been in the hospital once in the last

2 years. The bird in the stationary is named Hannah she

is one of 11 birds me an my girlfriend have. Belive it or

not I owe these birds my life. Will have to share that

story another time as I need to go catch these birds.
