Guest guest
, I have to do the same thing with my son for his hemophilia. And of course I get the, " I'll get AID's! " looks. Of course my son doesn't get blood products, and is completely safe, so I have to explain that to them, but it's all the same. Each teacher has to be taught, and the school nurse each year needs a refresher course. Each year needs new prescriptions for ice packs, oral meds, and what to do and how to do it, and when to do it,.... geez do I need to tell you when to feed him to. I actually asked them that last year. Boy did I get a lecture. But the frustration level gets so bad. So I do understand, and hemophilia can be lifethreatening much as diabetes if not treated promptly when in crisis. All I can say is 1) You go mom! and 2) Hugs.... at least back to school comes once a year. HUGS, teri [alldiabeticinternational] Re: Schools almost here . I am so glad to hear that william is doing great after the last few months of troubles he has had. At least his teacher will know what should be done her being a diabetic. That is a answered prayer. Please give him a hug from me. You are just a loving grandmother and we are so proud of you.
