Guest guest
Of course, if you prefer Equal, by all means use it. However, I prefer Splenda for two reasons. First, Equal to me has a chemical aftertaste, which Splenda does not. Second, in cookery sugar frequently provides more than just sweetness; it participates in the biochemistry. Splenda is chemically much closer to sugar than Equal, and frequently will therefore work in cookery where Equal will not.
Guest guest
I refer you to http://www.snopes.com/toxins/aspartame.asp [alldiabeticinternational] Re: Equal is better Equal contains aspartame. Aspartame metabolises to methanol which then converts to formaldehyde.
Guest guest
Aspartame caused my husband to lose his memory. We were both afraid he was going into Alzheimer's. It got so bad he couldn't even remember the dog's name. Once he stopped drinking diet Pepsi, the symptoms totally cleared up. Aspartame is VERY bad stuff at least for some people. Splenda just doesn't do that.
