Guest guest
Barb, I have been having muscles spasms in the lower back, (Very painful), and I was taking codeine and tylenol when it was at it's worst. I only take this in extreme circumstances, and for as short a time as possible. Makes me very groggy, plus it's addictive. For pain that is not really acute, I try to absorb myself in some activity, or talk to friends on the phone. (without talking about my discomfort) The idea here is get your mind off it, not dwell on it, besides I would hate to bore everyone to tears! Hope this helps. ne, 58, Lawrenceville, NJ On 29 Nov 1998 16:06:01 -0000 JLakey4036@... writes: >From: JLakey4036@... > >AM I the only one who has severe pain with rls or is there other >people that do also. From the time my son was about 8 weeks - 6.5 months old he violently fought eating. It was obvious that he was in pain. We tried high doses of Zantac and Propulsid and nothing helped. His fighting feeding didn't go away until we put him on Alimentum, then it disappeared instantly. So, going by what my son experienced, it sounds to me that the formula is a reasonable suspicion on your part.
Guest guest
Hi, does anyone have any suggestions as what to do for Miriam she is in so much pain especially when I feed her. I mentioned to the GI about that maybe she is reacting to the vivanex and he said its impossible because she was on it for 3 years and was fine. (she just went back to it after being off it for 7 months b.c of steroid trial) The zantac is doing nothing for her. What can I do for her any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Here its a holiday and there are no docs around . Hope to hear from someone. Guest guest
Hi Shana, I don't have any advice for you, but I can tell you that we hear the same thing from 's GI (she's been on it so long, she CANT POSSIBLY be reacting). is on Vivonex and is almost always in pain during her feeds. We have her on a feeding pump during the day and set a slow rate. We also give her a slow drip at night. We were doing bolus feeds where the whole feeding took about 3 minutes. was really in pain then. I wish these docs had to be here trying to comfort a child who is in pain, maybe then they would do something. Also, Zantac did nothing for , she's on Prilosec now, although it has lactose in it. I wanted to switch her, but again, her GI said that the lactose " shouldn't " bother her and she's been on it so long ....... Guest guest
Hi Shoshana, I am positive that she could be reacting to the Vivonex. It really doesn't matter how long you have been on a certain food. I used to eat shrimp all of the time and all of a sudden "BAMMM" I am terribly allergic to it. I get stomach cramps and vomit. Plus the fact that the Vivonex has some milk protein in it. I would get the manufacturer to write that letter to your GI about the milk being in it. As far as medications are concerned.....just be sure not to give her Motrin it can upset the bowels even worse. Maybe try a little Tylenol until you can get this figured out with your GI and Miriam. " Sherri, Are you saying that the prilocec has lactose in it? I didn't even know. Where did you get the info on it. Spencer isn't on it now, but he was and I am just curious. Guest guest
I didn't know Prilosec has lactose either. AJ is on it. I just off the phone with Shana and didn't even think about the fact that i used to be able to eat cashews and peanuts, but now I can't. Mine is not a typical reaction, my face gets fever blisters ALL OVER, i get a fever and swollen glands. It is the arginine in them. I can time it like clock work. You know, I can believe it is the formula. Wish I had more to offer. Good luck with getting the EleCare. Phyllis
Guest guest
, I think I got the info from the FAST website. I did call our pharmacist to confirm it. She said that lactose is one of the inactive ingredients. There is a list of food allergens in medicine on the FAST website. That's how we found out that Zyrtec has banana and grape in it. Guest guest
Sherri, Was it in the premixed prilocec or the pills? Also Spencer is super allergic grape, is it the flavored Zyrtec? B/C we get the Zyrtec that is colorless and tasteless (actually it does taste........just plain terrible). Guest guest
, It is in the Prilosec 10 mg tablets. Also, the grape is in the Zyrtec syrup. More later - I'm holding right now. Guest guest
Phyllis, is feeling better today. We had a rough night, but its over. I've never been to Atlantic City, so I don't know a good place to meet. Maybe we could meet somewhere on the boardwalk - around 2:00 p.m.? Let me know. (or anyone else), Could you give me some more info. about the docs in Pittsburgh? My family lives there so after we move to Memphis and get settled, I want to make a trip to Pittsburgh with to get a second opinion from a doc there. Thanks! Guest guest
Does anyone who has known high mercury levels also suffer from spine pain? If so, is there any reason for this. Guest guest
I also have sciatic nerve pain that is almost unbearable and at times I do take some deltasone for it. I have not slept in a bed for four years, couch is softer and has cushion breaks in it. I knock myself out every night otherwise I would not sleep at all. I also read that sciatic nerve damage can be caused by pesticide exposures, one in particular that I did use occasionally. Now I pay the price. Guest guest
I have had problems with my sciatic nerve and neck pain.Mercury can cause joint pain as well as fibromyalgia.I also had klebsieela detcted from a stool sample which is linked to anklyngspondilitis(Sp?)It can cause the spine to fuse together which causes great pain but I am not sure about the burning sensation. --- jannarone@... wrote: > Does anyone who has known high mercury levels also > suffer from spine pain? Guest guest
I think the burning is mercury but the other pain I don't know unless it is just muscle pain which I have also ,although this is much better since increasing my thyroid dose. Guest guest
Have any of your connected this burning in your spind with candida overgrowth. This fungus is going wild in my body and I am sure that the burning and pain I am getting in my upper spine is related to this. Not to mention that if any metal overload exsist, it can contribute to this overgrowth spreading. Liz D Re: Pain > Chantal, do you have any idea why you have spine pain and burning. Guest guest
This klebsieela, I am not sur of the spelling, but I was stool tested and this phneumonia showed up. My doc put me on Uva Ursi for about 2 months and it went away. Thought you might want to try this if we are talking about the same thing. I took 1 500mg tablet 2 times a day for about 2 months. The doctor only wanted me to take it for 3 weeks, but I felt it was still working. It is a strong duiretic so supplement with your potassium and calcium and magnesium.
