Guest guest
Congratulation. I am so happy for you and I am sure things are fine. I hope that things settle down and you can enjoy the new addition soon. I enjoy all my five kids and evenso they are a handful I wouldn't have it any other way. What wonderful news. Guest guest
I knew I had not looked that over!! Congrats! I know exactly what you mean, I worried the whole time I was pregnant with Mackenzie but she is a chubby healthy baby girl!! Up to a whopping 10 lbs, BJ weighed 12 lbs at 12 months. She will be 3 months old on the 20th. So relax and just enjoy being pregnant (if that is possible, LOL). Guest guest
, Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! I hope you're feeling well. God bless you all! I just found out this week that I am also pregnant. It is my fifth and maybe Steph or Beatrix could tell me if I will have a life again? We are quite surprised by this and I have found four children to be overwhelming and now, God willing, it will be five. I was really ready to move past the baby thing, but....... I'm still very early into this and have had two miscarriages before my third and fourth children were born, so, we'll see. I do believe all children are a blessing, and like Bea wouldn't have it any other way. I'm not trying to sound unhappy, I guess I'm still in shock. Anyway, I've noticed that Luke has a couple rather prominent looking white " patches " on the sides of his tongue and possibly while he was crying, I noticed there may be some at the back of his throat. Is this familiar to you all or is it maybe thrush? He sees the Immunologist on Monday, maybe she will know. Kathy (Mom to Luke, 17 mos.) Guest guest
Thanks for the support, Dawn. YES, thank God, when I called my husband hysterical that I was pregnant again, he was so calm and actually said he was happy and that God had chosen to bless us again. He said the only thing he is feeling bad about is that I am feeling so bad (not physically). Course, he's offered to buy me a new car, new kitchen cabinets, and dining room chairs, LOL! Still trying to decide if I'm going to be shallow enough to accept, LOL! If only that would help! Alice or Hazel might be more helpful. Guest guest
Kathy, Even though it was only my 3rd, I felt totally overwhelmed at the thought of having 3 children and was in shock for at least a month after I found out. Even though Mackenzie was TOTALLY unplanned for, it helped that dh supported me and actually got happy about the baby. That is what got me turned around and I started getting excited about having another baby in the house. I hope that your hubby is supporting you. I will pray that things work out for you. I had numerous miscarriages before having my first child and had one right before my second, I know how tough it is. Take care. Dawn
Guest guest
Hey, I say take it all, LOL! My dh still has yet to get me another chair for the dining room table. I did get a mini van though. It helps so much that he supports you and is happy about it. Right now it is just overwhelming. Dakota (my 7 y/o) adores Mackenzie and helps an enormous amount with her. Guest guest
Hi Kathy; I love my kids and as you said I was so totally suprised when I became pregnant with number four. But he was soooo good I just spoiled him wrotten. We did just about everything to not get pregnant again. But then when I became pregnant with number five I was so shocked. It took me some time to get over the initial shock of it all. But then I also got the dirty looks in the family and the oh my god you are nuts you should know better and so on. Well the same people also didn't give a damm when was born so sick. Well frankly I believe that any child that I have is a blessing and a joy in my life. When was critical for his first six month of his life we were so gratefull to just be able to hold and enjoy every moment with him. I think the one thing that I regret is the fact that for the first year of s life my parents ended up raising the other four and that I missed so very much of their life I will never get it back. But we learn and we adjust and we have made sure to have a happy normal at home life with as little as possible hospital stays. In some ways we are stronger and we enjoy life so much more. My kids have learned to respect life and see the world from a different angle. They don't get spoiled much, we can't afford it, but believe me they are all happy well adjusted children I can be proud off. On this rollercoaster road I have made friends and have know the true friends in my life. I had my moslems friends show up with christmas gifts one year when was really sick and critical. They knew we were spending all the days at the hospital and when we got home there were gifts under the tree for all of them. I guess we are blessed to have good friends and nurses we have met on the way. So I guess no matter what happens. There is always a reason for it even when we can't understand it. So enjoy the pregnancy and the joy of the baby. I hope that all goes well. Wish I lived closer and could come help. I love baby's and hubby teases me alot about it. Guest guest
Kathy, Well, first off Congratulations! Yes, you will have a life. But it won't be the " same " life. Life with five kids is a very FULL one. We've learned to cherish the chaos and get through the fights the kids invariably have. You have to laugh louder and harder when those moments come up to get through the rougher ones. I wouldnt have it any other way either. We haven't had a dull moment since we found out K5 was on his way. I too was completely floored with that one (Kody was really beginning to get sick at that time) but now I can't imagine life without Killian. His sweet baby kisses and hugs (though now 3 he is and always will be my " baby " ) get me through many a rough day. Congratulations again! Steph. Guest guest
Kathy- Congrats!!!!!!! That is wonderful news. I guess that is easy for me to say. I am sure, after the shock wears off, you will get excited. About the white patches.....I would say thrush is a great possibility. What meds is Luke on? AJ gets thrush often from inhaled steroids, antibiotics, you name it. She sucks two fingers non stop, which then get the thrush and it spreads and it can be a evil cycle here. Guest guest
Thanks everybody, SO MUCH, for your support. I dread the funny looks I'm going to get when I tell people it's No. 5, so this support is great. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Phyllis, Luke sucks a pacifier and isn't on any medication. He only occasionally takes Benedryl or Zyrtec when his ears are itching him (ezcema) or sometimes after he throws up the mucous and the offending food is still in his system, I will give him the antihistimine just in case the food might bother his gut further down. He sees the Immunologist tomorrow and I sure am hoping it isn't a waste of time, but I sure think it will be. I guess with Luke, at this point, it's just a matter of keeping those foods away from him that make him vomit. You know, there hasn't been any blood in his vomit yet. So that must be a good sign. I sure hope he outgrows this stuff or at least doesn't get worse. He's 17 mos. today! Sharon, congrat's on the 30 pound weight loss!!! I am extremely jealous! I'm still 15 pounds overweight and now with the pregnancy it's only going to go up Kathy phyllis m. zuckerman-frieze wrote: > > > > Kathy- > Congrats!!!!!!! That is wonderful news.
