Please, Please Please..if you could, could someone forward the article from

the New England Medical Journal, on CJD to me. I would greatly appreciate it.

I sit here everyday and read all the mail, and I cannot believe how many of us

all feel the same way! You know....as I sit here smoking a cigarette, I think

of how the lobbiest worked keeping the TOBACCO TRUTH from coming out...imagine

what they are doing ( or should I say what the beef industry is doing for

them) to keep the truth from reaching all of us. My dear mother hated the fact

that I was a smoker...now I wonder if I should have yelled at her the way she

yell at me when she bit into a hamburger. it makes me sick..her senseless

death, and I miss her yelling at me about smoking! Suzanne stay strong..and

get everyone you know on the internet to write Brudnoy..at WBZ in Boston

a e-mail..we want a show about this, and EVERYONE, just keep talking about

it..THE SWEEKY WHEEL GETS THE OIL !!!

Peace..nne

Lynette,

I would love a copy of the NEJM article. Is it possible for you to scan it in

and then post it here? Or would faxing it be cheaper? Maybe you could fax it

to one of us and then we could distribute it amongst ourselves here in the

States? If faxing is easy for you, my fax number is 30-655-2452.

My address is 2705 Easthaven Drive, Hudson, Ohio 44236

Let me know.

Dear Lynette,

DITTO! I'd like a copy of the article, too; and I'd very much like to

contribute to the cost. Please send your mailing address and how do I do

this- money order, or what?

Hi Vicki,

Scanning the article would undoubtedly have been the most economical way of

sending the article to so many, but I don't have access to a scanner [plus

it is 12 pages, and you can probably see the problems with technicalities

like Tables from The Lancet post I have sent to CJD Voice and Blood

tonight]].

Faxing to one in the US and distributing from there would also have been

cheaper. Actually, I did think of that, but no one mentioned their fax

number - so I made 50 copies, 43 of which I have already mailed to the US

and Canada. You are very welcome to one of the 7 remaining copies by mail

or fax, altho 12 pages of fine print takes about 30 minutes to fax from

Australia to the US [about the equivalent of a $50.00 telephone call], so I

think you would be better off choosing the air mail route!

With best wishes etc., Lynette.

Hmm... have just mailed the last 6 of 50 copies made on Tuesday [keeping

one to make further copies tomorrow].

How about if I mail one of the new copies to you Marie to continue the

supply of the NEMJ CJD review from the US?

If agreeable, please send me your postal address, or maybe you already have

a copy! I'm reluctant to fax it because of the 30 minutes-plus it takes to

transmit 12 pages of fine print!

Thanks a ton, Lynette.

Dear Nancie,

In a few minutes, I will start writing the agency and support the petition.

Although I have not written you before, please know I read your letters and my

thoughts, my heart is with you all the time.

I agree we have some angelsjhere on this site.

Dear Lynette, How do you hide your angel wings under your clothes ? You

are all such a source of strenght for me. I don't post as often now as I

used too, sometimes reading all the caretakers stories are a bit much for

me. But I realize how helpful it is for them to express themselves to

ppeople who understand. For them it is a healing, for me it is a view of

things to come. But you are all never far from my thoughts, and as I've

said repeatedly you are all fighting a battle for me and my family, and I

appreciate it more then you can ever know. Love to you all, Nancie
