" When they take the fat out, it doesn't taste good any more, so they have to put something in to make it taste good again. Usually that is sugar. This is not universally true, but check the labels--you'll find that it is often so. (Sometimes even there is so much added sugar that the low/free/reduced fat version actually has MORE CALORIES than the regular!)
