Guest guest
Hi All, Thanks for the invite to join your group. I am a type II diabetic and have been for many years. It runs in our family.. Right now I control it with diet and oral meds. I am 54 years young, married to a wonderful, supportive man, have a 33 yr. old son and a 4 yr. old grandson who is the apple of my eye. I work outside the home as well as own my own desktop publication and book distribution company. We have a 4 yr. old cat named Whiskers and hopefully soon will have a new brother for her. I LOVE to cook, and have lots of recipes that I have adapted for my diabetes. I only get one day off a week from my new job, but when time permits I'll send a recipe or 2 to the group. Guest guest
Hi frauke! we have both yahoo, and msn, on yahoo, it's kewe818, and msn it's lilkittykt@... Ariana is turning 11 in september. she was dx'd at 5 years old. she has been great with it, right now, she does her own finger sticks, and can fill and inject herself, but i choose to do most of the injections for her. i don't want to give her too much responsibility, but at the same time, she needs to know how to do things for herself. just don't want to overwhelm her. she actually injected her very first shot ever, by herself, refusing to let the doctor or nurse or mom do it. She is getting ready to go to camp here in a couple weeks, she will leave on the 25th and come home august 5. this will be her 5th year going. she loves it. i hope to talk to you soon! feel free to add me to either, or both. i almost always have an away message up at msn, but am usually here, and stay invisible on yahoo too. lol.
