This is a great beginning, you have shown yourself you CAN do it! I would recommend you visit Jo Lund's site, www.HealthyExchanges.com or HealthyExchanges if you are needing a few more recipes. Her books are my best source of inspiration I think. I like that she recognizes we are diabetics, not dead. We still need to live life with as many good things as we need to help us along the way. I do recommend that you read the recipes first. Your dietician has probably called out a number of carbs per meal for you. Her recipes are figured out so well that you can portion/carb control easily. Some of her recipes are a little too carb heavy for me and I save those for special occasions.
