Guest guest
Hey thanks for the invite to join ya'll. I will tell you a little about myself. I am 36 years old diagnosed Type 1, April 4, 2003 with a BG 792, in DKA, was in a coma for 36 hours and was in ICU for 9 days. At the time yes I had several of the signs looking back but we all thought that I was loosing so much weigh because I was stress out because my husband had just been deployed to Iraq. He is home now. The doctors told us that at some point I got a really bad virus and it attacked my pancreas and killed it. So I take at least 5 shots a day and keep going. LOL I am try to go on the pump now and sooner or later I will win the fight with the insurance company and get it. LOL The doctors think that I will do better on the pump and I will be able to go to just one insulin and not two and then it will be a shot once every 2 - 3 days not 5 a day. I am really looking forward to emailing with all of you and hope to make some new friends. Thanks again for the invite to join. Take care Bartlett TN
