Guest guest
The garbanzo/chickpea variety did not work very well. PRedictably, it was too heavy. I tried adding various things to lighten it up, such as egg and a little low-fat milk (just made it gluey), and baking powder and salt (just made it way, too salty for what I wanted). I could not see this combination going anywhere productive, so, aftr wasting a coupla hours, I gave up. I will try to get mung beans sometime soon. In the meantime, I have a huge bowl full of crispy fresh garbanzos.... Maybe I will try to find some sesame seeds and make hummus... What else can I do with them?? (I put a few in the soup last night, but I have a huge bowl of them.) > > Give it a try and see how it comes out.
