I sure hope will come back to Tops and start working on her weight. So glad to hear that Gay is doing better. Is she the lady you told me about to be open to by-pass surgery, before she make a final disicion? I'm glad you were close enough to visit Winnie's son-in-law too. Did you see the e-mail that Winnie is going to room with us Fritch girls at SRD? Oh boy, is she in for a treat! THEN... followed up on an e-mail from Winnie earlier today, and I stopped and visited her son-in-law in the hospital... he was 4 doors down from .... Needless to say he was surprised when I introduced myself to him. Then he asked me to go get him a cup of decaf coffee, and gave me the money I checked out at the desk and she said oh I'll get him a cup. so he was happy when I left. Winnie I left my card with him so if he needs anything I told him to feel free to call me and let me know if I could help. So now gotta run and get ready to go to the Air Base to meet with the chapter out there. Guest guest Posted February 17, 2006 Report Share Posted February 17, 2006 , Gay had gone in to have the gastric by-pass, then when they opened her up discovered, ...(years ago she had the stomach banding done and had regained her weight, well the banding had slipped and got intwined with the intestines and they found a absess about the size of a grapefruit and gangrene had set in and several smaller absesses. the Dr. said he could not believe she was not in horrif pain. from what I heard yesterday they removed 2/3 of the stomach but never did the by-pass. but I am not certain on that. Do you think I should let Winnie know that I have met you and some of your group and WARN!!!!!! her ahead of time or just wait and let it hit her all at one time!!!!!! when it is too late to back out???????????????? really it was very sweet of your group.
