Guest guest
Hi Ladies- Well, I waited and it's not happening. Menopause has not only not shrunk my fibroids, but they are growing larger and harder and I am having symptoms that I never had before that feel even more serious. Yes, there is no more blood-Finally! However, what has happened recently is that I am having extreme difficulty, for lack of a better term, pooping. I mean really extreme-I used to have good and regular bowel movements. Now these small strands just barely make it out of me. This can't be a good thing-just where is all that toxic waste going. Also, I am having pressure of the ligiments of my legs. In any case, without going on and on, I have some questions for you: 1. Can any of you tell me if you are having bowel related problems that are associated with your fibroids? My PCP wants me to get a colonoscopy and yicks that just feels like one more thing to try to fit into an already over packed abdomen. And I don't want more pain! I am trying to get some idea as to what others have done and have discovered in your search of your bowel problems-did they end up being fibroid-related? 2. Looks like my time has come. Menopause just isn't doing the magic I had hoped for. So, my next question has to do with surgery. Based on my insurance, I would have to have my surgery far from where I presently live, which means staying alone in a motel during recovery. Could you please give me some feedback as to just how long after major abdominal surgery (my fibroids are HUGE) I would be able to get on a plane? What about lifting anything? Driving a car? etc. etc. etc. I would so appreciate any and all feedback as I have to make some decisions very soon as this belly is about to explode! Thanks So Much, Dawn
