Hi ne -

Thanks for the good luck wishes and the information you've shared since your own

myo. I've been watching all of your postings as well as those of others for

quite awhile, and after doing a lot of research on doctors and also

corresponding with some others on this list who went to Dr West, I contacted him

back in January and made my myo appt. Like you, I'll be flying there (tomorrow

morning), and won't meet him in person till Monday for pre-op, but all of the

phone contact that I've had with him and his office staff over the last several

months has been great. I'm looking forward to this. Surgery is Tuesday

morning, June 15, 7:30am. Thanks again, and best wishes during your recovery

period, and to all of the others out there who've both just gone through

surgery/who are about to, marie

Marie, Good luck on your upcoming myo with West. As you probably know , I

think hes one of the tops. Even the crazy glue he uses is wonderful. You dont

feel any pulling and he takes off bandages immediately. Some how this glue

holds thing together securely. He asked me to use a fleet enema the night before

and I did . It was no big deal. Is your surgery date the 15th or the week

after? Dr. West told me not to worry about vit e or creams (he didnt think they

made any difference).. Last week, I started using a smidge of calendula cream

but my incision is healing well. Any of the little bit of scabby crust is of

now. ne
