Guest guest
Hi all, I want to address two different issues here. Menopause is only considered premature if you are younger then 36. Menopause is defined as 1 year without periods, therefore is diagnosed after it happens. Perimenopause can take up to 10 years. During this time you can have irregular periods, Hot flashes, palpitations and many other symptoms. If you have missed a couple of months periods you may be in perimenopause. As to whether this was caused by having a UAE noone would ever be able to say for sure as they don't know what actually triggers the timing of Menopause. Yes, you are more likely to have it around the same time as you Mother but not definitely. Plus if you are 43 and your mom was 44 or 45 that is pretty close. To miss a couple of periods a year before you would expect menopause to happen given your family history would not be at all abnormal. My second comment is to the woman with the Pain issues. If you are having that much pain that you are taking leftover Oxycodone and crying, call your Dr. I would insist on being seen. The best time to evaluate the pain is when you having it. There is no need to be stoic. If they won't see you, go to the ER. What kind of insurance do you have? If its an HMO call them and insist they find you a DR. who will treat you.
