Guest guest
April, I am very sorry to hear about your situation. It must be very worrying having your husband in Iraq and having to deal with all these medical problems whilst alone and in a foreign country. I am also very sorry indeed to hear about your miscarriages. Some helpful things to do now that you know you have fibroids would be to - browse this list and read some of the entries - browse the www.nuff.org and the www.uterinefibroids.com sites - Buy a good book about fibroids such as 1) What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Fibroids: New Techniques and Therapies -Including Breakthrough Alternatives to Hysterectomy, by C. Goodwin, S. Broder, Drum, Carla Dionne, Warner Books 2003 2) Sex, Lies, and the Truth About Uterine Fibroids: A Journey from Diagnosis to Treatment to Renewed Good Health, Carla Dionne, Penguin Putnam 2001 I live in Germany. I founded a German speaking site, but I don't know how far along you are with your German. If you wish to get in touch with me you can do so at vnorton@.... It might be helpful to let me know in which town you live and whether you are dependent on the army gynos and hospitals, or whether your insurance covers treatment in Germany. I know an extremely good doctor in Heidelberg and I know one of her midwives speaks excellent English; a lot of the women from the U.S. army base have their babies there. Considering you have heavy bleeding you may just have a fibroid that is growing on the " inside " of the uterus in the direction of the cavity. This is called a submucous fibroid and sometimes they are extremely easy for a good doctor to resect using an instrument that goes into the vagina and through the cervical canal, i.e. they may not even need to make an incision. Check out one of the sites above for a diagram of a fibroid uterus to see the various different kinds. You then need a doctor to check your ultrasound pictures again or do another to ascertain where in the uterus the fibroid(s) might be. Be patient when writing to me; I am not checking my emails every day at the moment. But I do get back to people weekends at the latest. Take care & please know that you are not alone At 15:57 02.05.04 +0000, you wrote: >Message: 9 > Date: Sun, 02 May 2004 14:16:56 -0000 > >Subject: just found out i have fibroids > >HELLO I'M 28 YEARS OLD, JUST FOUND YOU GUYS ON HERE, THINK THIS IS >AWESOME.
