I see a few other women have posted to reply to your original message, just

thought I'd chime in too. I'm another woman here who had a UAE (UFE; same

thing) in my case I had 1 ~10cm and a few other 2-4cm size fibroids. I wasn't

diagnosed until I was 46. My symptoms were primarily problems with urination

and other discomforts but my type of fibroids didn't cause very excessive

bleeding. I had my procedure done in May 2003 and regard it as a total success

- short recovery time, very quick relief of symptoms, and not hard to get

through. Having a UAE can resolve your fibroid problems without you losing

your uterus and at least to me, that was very important.
