Meeting Drs. West and Silberzweig at the NYC Meet-Up

I have to say that listening to Dr. West and Dr. Silberzweig has

given me the periodic attitude adjustment I need in my thinking

regarding doctors. After participating in this listgroup since its

inception and reading over and over reports of the inconsiderate,

downright rude and ignorant treatement by some doctors that women are

subjected to, as well as the decades-old medical treatement that

these women are treated to, I need to be reminded that there are

many, many doctors who truly care about their patients, and about the

quality of care they give to those patients. These doctors were

outstanding examples of medical professionals who are at the cutting

edge of their specialities while retaining their humanity. Both

doctors treated us as intelligent, reasoning human beings who are

interested in understanding as fully as possible our options, and who

do want to know the details. Every question we asked was answered

fully yet at a level we could all follow. As a Board member of NUFF,

I'm proud that these doctors are interested in working with us to

help offer our women the very best in education about their options.
