Guest guest
I just came across this article on the Seattle Times web site, I guess they have updated the site with more articles from before the advent of the modern Web (post Netscape, circa 1996). Sen. Murray Going To Hospital Next Week For Hysterectomy Friday, December 02, 1994 " WASHINGTON - U.S. Sen. Patty Murray will enter town University Hospital next Tuesday for elective hysterectomy surgery, she said today. Murray, 44, had noncancerous fibroid tumors removed in June 1993, but the first-term Washington Democrat said the tiny tumors had returned. " You will have to do a search on the archives to find the article: http://archives.seattletimes.nwsource.com/web/ I would have thought that having experienced the trial and tribulations of uterine fibroids that Senator Murray would have been more of a leader on getting more funding for fibroid research. I wrote to several of the Uterine Fibroid Research and Education Act sponsors but I didn't hear back from most of them. Anyone know what is going on with this act? How can we get more organized to get more research funding for fibroids and fibroid treatment options? Ann
