Guest guest
I am happy with the myo. I just had my third period post myo (at five months post myo) and it is normal. I can even use Tampons for the first time in five years. And they WORK. I wasn't happy about how long it took to recover but my GP (general doc) had a point when I complained. I was anemic for years and severely anemice for almost two years. A lack of red blood cells does not just cause dizziness, ringing in your ears, increased bleeding, etc. it also denies muscles and other cells oxygen. My muscles all over were starved and under exercised for years and now they are weak. Post surgery (two months) I could not do one pushup or a full situp. Doc Z as well as the GP prescribed physical therapy to correct these losses. (This is atypical. I didn't need it after the first surgery but six months later with an average hemo of 7 I was in bad shape. I had only been seing Doc Zinaman for six weeks when he operated on me. But it was over half a year later plus I had waited four almost five months for the first myo. I was bleeding puddles off and on for all of this time). He was able to find an opening in his surgical schedule in less than a month from the day I saw him once he had all the test results back. He didn't waste time but did the surgery and when I woke up I felt good. It is the oddest thing that I came out of the second myo feeling... well...WELL. I was walking that first day. Not fast or far and I was weak but I felt good. I came out of the second myo so much differently than the first that people who saw me after both commented on it. Dr Zinaman when I kept insisting I felt good finally said " well it is out of course you feel better " My fibroid was large and degenerating (breaking down) so maybe that is why. The muscle tissue around the tumor was damaged and was also biopsied to see if it was adenomyosis. It wasn't but it was damaged either by the other surgery or the tumor. (I have the pathology report but don't understand much beyond it was damaged and not adeno) I was also overloaded on Lupron from the previous Doc and on Megace too. As all that wore off that was when I started noticing the breast pain, muscle weakness, muscle contractions, bone pain, etc. When I look back on it I am probably really lucky. I mean really lucky. I have not seen many women here have severe problems ( ex:not being able to walk 10 minutes) post myo resuming their lives. At five months I am just now feeling strong enough to do the lifting and bending that are required for my job. If I had stayed with the first idiot much longer I would have still been bleeding and severely anemic. I believe my body couldn't have took much more. Your choice of Doctor is more important than you know. e ps if you need to chat let me know --- myttoo myttoo@...> wrote: > Are you happy with the Myo? Did you have large tumors?
