Guest guest
I had the transabdominal combined with transvaginal ultrasound, and here is the text of the report: " The uterus measures 15.9 x 8.4 x 10.1 cm. There are multiple fibroids measuring up to 7.3 cm size. The endometrial stripe is mostly obscured by hyperechoic fibroid tissue and cannot be evaluated. The right ovary is not seen. The left ovaries measure 2.9 x 2.6 x 2.0 cm. No adnexal mass or free fluid. " Lab results: hemoglobin---9.6 and hematocrit---30.5 That's it. Any comments? (Not sure I understand the comments about the endometrial stripe and right ovary---just assume that they couldn't get a good view of them, so there is nothing to say, good or bad?) Compared to some of the reports I've read here, this doesn't seem that bad. Yet my doctor's office called me again today, saying that they are going to try to get the GYN to see me as soon as possible. They say the main reason is because I'm " so anemic, " but the results above don't seem as bad as many of you have reported. I have not been back to the doctor often---once three years ago and once two years ago, but on each occasion I have been anemic and no one has been this concerned. I have been bleeding for about a month, and I do have heavy periods with clots, but the bleeding has now stopped with the use of Promethium. I'm divided between relief that the report is no worse than it is and feeling like a hypochondriac for thinking I have been feeling so bad for so long--extremely tired, cramping and backaches, and hugely distended upper abdomen, in addition to some problems with stress incontinence. This report doesn't seem that bad, which makes me think I'm just being a wimp.
