Hi All,

I am thankful for the great wealth of information, that can be found

on this board. I am a regular reader, and an ocasional poster.

I have a question, hoping that you can share your experiences with

me. I had a hysteroscopic resection to get my 2cm submucosal fibroid

removed on April 1st. My main complaints before the surgery included

heavy and prolonged menstrual bleeding, often untolerable pain. The

procedure itself was extremely easy, no pain just mild discomfort for

a couple of days. I had some bleeding for a day after the procedure,

but it tapered down to an unsignifficant dischage, which also

diappeared withing a couple of days. I can not express how happy I

was. 10 days after op I started my first period. It came 4 days

earlier than its' 'schedule', but I thought it was ok. On the second

day the blood flow turned into an extremely heavy bleeding, that I

never had before. Today is the second day, and the bleeding does not

want to get lighter. I called my surgeon, who told me to rest. He

also told me, that the operation was so uneventful, and routine, that

he thinks, that some stress might causing the unexpectedly heavy

flow. I m just wondering if any of you experienced even heavier than

before periods after op. I don't have the usual cramps though, which

at least makes me feel better.

I am just very worried. I was waiting for some relief after the op,

and it is much worst so far.

Thank you all for any inputs.

Eva
