Guest guest Posted May 8, 2004 Report Share Posted May 8, 2004 I experiencved abnormal bleeding in 2003, around Feb-march. I had an ultrasound and it showed a 3cm fibroid. I was 31 and my doctor said it was nothing to worry about. He said that we would check it every semester to see if it was growing. I had a second opinion and they both agreed. Both docs new I was hoping to get pregnant in the future. In 2004, I did get pregnant but the fibrod grew bigger than the baby. I started bleeding and I had a miscarriage. Soon after that, my doc suggested a myo. He noticed that i was desvastated and that I DID want to conceieve. The miscarriage was on March 14th. Since then, I am on alternative medicine: drops, teas, reiki, meditation and I am planning to add acupuncture. I have no pain at all. My first peiod was soon after the miscarriage. it was quite heavy but I am not sure if it was because of the fibroid or due to the fact that it was my first period after losing the baby. I am on my period again and it is WONDERFUL. Normal bleeding, almost not cots, no pain, no headaches.Actually, I never had symptoms but one cycle of abnormal bleeding in 2003.I am on birth control pills, so that could help. I keep record of evertyhing. There is a great chart on a book by SUSAN LARk. If antyone wants it , email me. I don't know if lacl of symptoms and normal bleeding ( change pads just for the sake of changuing them !) is due to alternative medicine (herbs) or because the fibroid is already shriking now that there are no pregnancy hormones.
