Guest guest Posted March 8, 2004 Report Share Posted March 8, 2004 OK, so now the family of aliens has grown in my uterus. In addition to a grapefruit sized fundal fibroid, I have multiple polyps. I had an ablation last October and there were no polyps then. My gyn was very surprised to see the polyps. In fact, she didn't think anything could grow as my uterine lining was destroyed by the ablation. This new development has me concerned. My gyn said that the polyps looked normal, but who is to say they won't turn cancerous. A D&C would get rid of the polyps, but because I have adhesions from the ablation, there is the possibility that a polyp or two could be hidden away in pitted areas. I saw the polyps and the cave-like areas of the lining of my uterus. Anyway, I'm feeling pretty low right now. Has anyone had or heard of such a thing? In the meantime, I'm bleeding again.
