Guest guest
Hi, I posted before about having my surgery on March 18th. Well, first I'm nervous as is anyone who has had to prepare for surgery. I'm having my fibroid removed through abdomen surgery. I've had a c- section in which my doctor is cutting through the same scar, but that was 19mos ago and under a very stressful circumstances. This time I'm going in for two or three days my doctor said so I'm trying to get prepared on what I should bring with me. I will be leaving my daughter for the first time so I need to occupy my time so I don't drive myself crazy. I bought slippers and shoes I can just slide my feet into without having to bend over. My incision will be up and down. I got a book and bought an oversized nightgown for comfort. That's about it. For all of you who have been there can you help me out on what I should pack? Also how did you guys feel the day of surgery and after? As far as I remember motrin was pretty much all I needed and first time moving was difficult. Did most of you get out of bed the same day or next day? Any info to help me prepare will be greatly appreciated. Oh I'm afraid to have tube put down my throat so I'm having a spinal and some drugs to put me to sleep. I've never been under anesethsia before. SCARED! Thanks for you help, Pam
