Dear Group,

In only a few short months...the registration for holding Uterine

Fibroids Meetups has already hit 295 members. Totally amazing!!!! As

an FYI, the Meetup service has lowered the number of members per city

that must vote on a venue to 3 before a meeting can be held in that

city. Therefore, as of right now, there are 32 cities with at least 3

members registered who could end up having a Uterine Fibroids Meetup

this month. Provided, that is, they actually vote to do so. Thirteen

cities now have 5 or more members and the following cities have

already registered enough votes to definitely have a May 15 meeting:

New York City, NY

Boston, MA

San Francisco, CA

Santa , CA

Chicago, IL

Detroit

St. Pete-Clearwater, FL

Rochester, NY

There is less than a week left to vote for a meeting venue or register

for the Meetup service before the next monthly Uterine Fibroids Meetup

on May 15. Please consider doing so and then following through by

actually attending and meeting your fellow fibroid sisters.

Also, although NYC is definitely in the lead (24 members) for winning

the registration contest I announced earlier (top city with at least

30 members registered and I'll visit your June Meetup--and bring a few

surprise guests too!), they are still short a few members to win this!

Hmmmm....hey New York City members...get busy out there! Post those

flyers and ramp this contest up a bit, will ya'? Don't forget you can

also tell other fibroid support groups about this Meetup service,

too....

My daughter and I have been walking around downtown Colorado Springs

today and posting Meetup flyers in every coffee shop, etc. bulletin

board we can find. Hairdressers and laundromats are next...it's a big

town and a big job...but, it's the least we can do to get this thing

rolling right here in the host city of NUFF. Think hard -- what can

YOU do in your own city that will spread the word?

On a final note, if you are already registered for the Meetup service

but your town just doesn't have enough members to have a meeting yet,

consider reviewing the list of cities that DOES have enough members to

host a meeting and sign up for THAT city for the month of May. Meetup

allows you to change your *home* town to another city for simply one

month and change it back after the May meeting. Check it out!

My best to you all -- and hoping to get to meet some of you this summer!
