Hello Habon,

I am also scheduled for a myo (July 16) my doctor has assured my that he will

remove ALL of the fibroids, my understanding is that ultrasounds or MRI

sometimes do not show the very small fibroids. He said that once he removes the

largest visible ones he then will search for the little ones by feeling around

the uterus. I totally agree with you, that if we are going to have surgery we

want then ALL OUT.

Best wishes for your upcoming myo.

Hi all,

I have an upcoming myo scheduled for July 2nd and recently spoke with

my doctor who did not deliver the best news. He called to talk to me

about an ultrasound I had had and stated that I still have 5 fibroids

of differing sizes, the largest two being about 5cms. Then he said

that he would definetly remove the two large ones b/c they seemed to

be causing all the problems and as for the little ones, he didn't

want to make too many cuts in my uterus. I told him that if I was

having the surgery, I wanted them all out and I did not want to have

to live with these things anymore. My question is this : Is it hard

to see these fibroids by ultrasound? And during the myo will he be

able to see all of them or do they tend to conceal themselves? I am

assuming that once he performs the myo he will take out everything he

finds but I am afraid that he will only take out the large ones and

leave the rest.

Anybody have any advice?
