I got very excited when I read your message because I felt the very same

way. I had my surgery was April 27, 7:30 a.m. I had 20 fibroids, two at 12

cm and a very large 24 wk uterus. Dr. West didnt bat an eye. He said , " Were

going to take out your fibroids (all of them) and leave you with a well repaired

uterus and youre going to be great. Then he gave me a big hug and said its

natural to worry but dont. Any time I was particularly nervous, (like 2 weeks

pre-op - I would call him). He would call back and he has a way of just putting

me to ease). I could go on and on but you are right..He is the BEST DOCTOR I

have ever met. I also had a wonderful recovery. Im still getting back but Im

now briskly walking about 60 minutes a day. Im working two and a half days this

week. My tummy swelling has gone way down and Ive got a little more to go. Im

back in most all my pants and some hae to be taken in soon. I did all my

research and was well aware that Dr. West had a temporary suspension. i

researched

it and spoke to Dr. West about it . After speaking with him, I felt totally

confident that he is a teriffic surgeon. My Florida gyn is anxious to see my

photos and if I could figure it out, I would post them. Everyone will be amazed.

The Florida gyn told me that this is no easy surgery and that Dr. West must

be very , very skilled. She asked me to bring info and reports and that she

will be referring some of her Florida patients to him. I would say that is

quite a compliment. Those of us wo have had Dr. West perform the surgery only

know

that he a perfect blend of a skilled surgeon and a very compassionate man.

I caught a cold a week after surgery but am fine now and even managed to

cough.
