Guest guest
I saw my doctor a month ago. He gave me printed information about a couple of procedures he was suggesting. After reading it, I had a number of questions. I have left telephone messages specifying when and where I could be reached as well as messages in writing listing questions and stating my willingness to receive answers in writing, or to prearrange a time for a telephone conversation, or to return to his office for consultation. We had one, brief frustrating conversation by phone in which he seemed either not to understand or to be evading my initial question (that's when I turned to writing) and since then I've had one answering machine message saying he'd try again. Anybody have any other ideas about what I could do? I'm also trying to research my own situation (my search skills are primitive, something else I could use help with - meanwhile, thanks for getting me here, and all of you for informative and supportive comments) and trying to figure out how to find a more communicative doctor for a second opinion. But I'd still like to have a clearer idea of what the first opinion was!
Guest guest
Wow! Sorry to hear you are going through this. Fibroids are stressful enough without this on top of it. One thing you might try (if you haven't already) is sending the doc a list of questions, and asking the him to just leave the answers on your answering machine. I hope you get your answers soon!
