My uterus is approx 4month preg. size. My symptoms are minimal which I am thankful for, mostly bladder pressure & constipation. I'm going back in a few months for another ultrasound & MRI to see how much they have grown. I assume this growth rate is different for everyone. Has anyone experienced them shrinking sleightly or staying the same for a long period of time? I'm 35 and not sure about children, doubtful. My doctor is going to send me to a specialist to discuss options after my second MRI. thanks ***************** Hi Lili I was first diagnosed with a fibroid which showed up on an ultrasound scan 3 years ago, but it wasn't thought it was the cause of my pains at this point. I knew nothing about fibroids until the pains increased 1 1/2 years ago and the gynea sent me for a D & C- the fibroid was the size of an apple, but no further action was taken at this point. In 1 1/2 years it grew to the size of a grapefruit and the pains got worse and worse. Finally I had a myo 2 weeks ago. so they can grow vey quickly- I would try to get treatment sooner rather than later- I don't think my first gynea took the correct action and in fact I'm going to put a complaint into the hospital.
