Fibroids and urinary tract disorders

Some years ago hysterectomy was suggested to me because

of the possibility of my large fibroids contiributing to persistent

urinary tract infections. I could sort of understand the logic, but

the research I did then turned up no convincing evidence that it

would work, so I've kept the fibroids and treated the uti's

medically. I'm now considering fibroid treatment for a different

reason but am also curious whether anyone has experienced

this situation or knows of new research. Can treating fibroids

help bladder problems?
