Guest guest
For some reason, I feel like I should know the answer to this question, but I have to ask it anyway: Is there a way to tell without a doc's exam if the fibroids have come back? I'm breastfeeding my 14-month-old, and started getting my period again about 5-6 months ago. It seems like with each period the bleeding gets heavier. I don't get cramps anymore, fortunately, because during my myo I had a presacral neurectomy that virtually eliminated them, but now I get PMS, which I never had before. About a week before my period, I have a couple of days of nausea followed by a couple of days of extreme fatigue, a day or two of headaches and sometimes mood swings, and then the heavy bleeding starts. I definitely want more children and do not plan to stop breastfeeding my baby to go through another surgery. I had my annual exam done about six months ago and at that point my gyno said that there were still some small fibroids, but nothing worth worrying about. I have to wonder if they've had a growth spurt. Anyone had a similar situation? Can we tell on our own if they've come back? Thanks.
