Guest guest
Hello all; I have been reading a lot of good stuff on this website. My former doctor ONLY suggested a hysterectomy for my fibroids! I cried and cried and cried! I have nobody to talk with. My boyfriend (or so I thought) could not really offer his support because he was started a new relationship and about the same time I found out! I am so happy to have this site, as, I really need to vent! I have already spoken via phone to one gal who has been very supportive. Anyway, I now have an appointment with a new GYN who is suppose to be caring and supportive. I am currently trying to set up some local appointments with myomectomy doctors ( anyone know of any in the Seattle area?) to figure out what my options are. I am apparently way too attached to my uterus to have someone just pull it out. I may be in my 40s, but, it IS MY body. Thanks, all, for your support. I am still here, and, still working on figuring out what to do. Patty
Guest guest
Patty: I just needed to jump in and offer some support. I too have had a simular experience..been to now three doctors, the first two were not very helpful and went straight to the hysto. The third who actually was a friend of mine was better, because of our friendsip, but still didn't give me what I wanted. I have now relized that it's not the care and compassion that I want. I need someone who has experience dealing with these monsters. At this point, the caring part doesn't even phase me, just get me to someone who will take care of it! and not beat around the bush, give me the BS that I have found that GYN's do so well. Bottom line find someone who is a specialist, not someone that will rub your head and make it feel better. Check the University, I have found that they are usually ahead of the game. And please remember that your not alone! Trinide
