However I do trust this particular gyno (as much as you can trust any of them) and went ahead. The procedure was very easy. I had almost no discomfort or bleeding after. He found 2 polyps which were causing some heavy bleeding. In fact, I didn't bleed at all for 8 months. I was 51 years old when I had it done. Unfortunately, I am bleeding again, my fibroids keep increasing in size and number. I will be having UAE on May 27. I am hoping it will stop the bleeding and lessen the pressure problems. I still DO NOT want a hysterectomy. I believe in keeping myself intact if at all possible. I fear that hysterectomy could lead to a host of other problems throughout the rest of my life. P.
