Guest guest
Hi, I'm new to the group and have lots of questions! I'm 34 yrs old and was diagnosed with fibroids about 5 years ago. Two are about 5 cm. and I have a bunch of pea sized ones. One lg one is submucosal and partially blocking a fallopian tube. I've had an HSG and with lots of dye they were finally able to achieve spillage into my ovaries. All other fertility test checked out ok except my FSH which is a little high but still within " normal " range. I had a myo scheduled last month but chickened out and cancelled it last moment. I do have symptoms from my fibroids (heavy bleeding, cramps, fatigue) but I would " live with them " to avoid surgery. However, my husband and I have been ttc for 3 years with no luck (he checks out ok). I saw an RE and she says my uterus is too hostile of an environment for an egg to emplant and recommends a myo. If I had more time I would try a more " holistic " approach with diet, exersize, herbs, acupunture etc. But I feel like my eggs are getting old! I have two main questions 1) What is the success rate of getting pregnant after a myo? 2) Does diet, herbs etc really help with shrinkage (ie should I stop eating meat and dairy etc as the books say?). Any information or advise would be much appreciated!!! Thank you! Deborah
