Now I am really getting nervous. The myo with Dr. West is April 27 and the

waiting is terrible. Should I have booked my flight from N.Y> to Florida more

than 3 days post op? If there are problems, would they surface right away?

My husband will be there with me . How am I supposed to feel 3 days post op if

all goes well? Im may be just doing too much thinking. Its all scary.

ne,

My sister had just about the worst case scenario where she woke up

several days after her operation in a pool of blood with her wound

opened up.

If your wound opens up then you will need to do an alternative

healing technique which involved healing from the inside out. You

have to pack the wound and change the dressing daily. This results in

a less attractive scar, it takes a long time to heal, and you can't

do it yourself you really need someone else to do it. My sister

actually had to have a nurse come visit her at home several times to

check up on her, but that might have been relative to her situation

at the time.

Personally it seems a little aggressive to travel so soon after your

surgery. If need be however you should make sure you know what to do

if the wound opens and be prepared to take action.
