Guest guest
Jen, wish I knew why doctors perform ablations on women with fibroids. I was so sorely disappointed with the results. I am going to have a hysteroscopy next Friday. My gyn and I spoke about embo. She is happy to refer me to an RE, but she feels that my one grapefruit size fibroid is in a bad location for an embo. It is high in my uterus and there is a high probability that my ovarian artery is supplying it with blood. If my ovarian artery has to be embolized, I will be thrown in menopause. I am almost 49, but I hate the thought of suddenly being menopausal. If that artery isn't embolized and is feeding the fibroid, the procedure will fail. I might know more after the hysteroscopy. I have followed your situation and I am SO HAPPY that things are much better for you! --nne
Guest guest
HI nne, I wished that I had visited this site and asked my questions weeks before and not days before my ablation this week. I have no idea if this is going to work or not but of course I hope that it will because my fibroids are still with me. How long was it when you realized that it didn't work for you? Do you remember bleeding after the ablation? It is 5 days right now and I am still bleeding..not heavy but still bleeding. I wish you well with good results from your hysteroscopy.
