I gushed at 5pm and 5am, for 2 days, with hardly anything in-between. I am still trying to figure out if BCPs are the right thing to control my bleeding, not sure... Guest guest Posted February 11, 2004 Report Share Posted February 11, 2004 I am on BCP since August and I am so grateful I am on them. Hardly any cramping and my periods are like spotting. I used to have gushers when off of them. They are a Godsend to me. I go to my GYN in a few weeks about my fibroids. I hope and pray he doesn't want me off of them. Guest guest Posted February 11, 2004 Report Share Posted February 11, 2004 I just got back from an appt with a specialist....she didn't have any explanation for thecyclic bleeding either except to say that it's more likely that the fibroids bleed cyclicly than the regular lining shedding that way.
