Guest guest
Hi , Interceed isn't a drug, but rather is an absorbable mesh barrier used to prevent adhesions after pelvic surgeries. I am pretty sure this is the product my Dr. used after my ab myo in Feb. My fibroid adhered to my bowel last year even though I had never had any type of surgery before. Some Drs. have said it doesn't help and that if scar tissue us going to form it will form regardless of the barrier. In any event, I am glad they used it on me and hope it helps. Here is a link I found with more info on it. http://www.gynecare.com/logc_common/layout/showPage.jsp;jsessionid=2B OQYPXE0KCIQCQPCCEDC0YKB2IIWNSC? article_name=patients/include/treatments.jspf&pageData=patients/treat ments.xml&host=www.gynecare.com&contentStatus=active&v=2293399120&loc ale=en_US ~Cindy > > Hello all > > Someone on the list mentioned a drug called Interceed which is to > assist in decreasing adhesions after surgery can you please tell me is > this correct and who possibly makes this medication.
