Guest guest
: Have I got a website for you! But first, Coach Roma would like to recommend lap swimming to you-- for not only strengthening your abs but also for your back...and shoulders, legs, even firm your chest. It's an excellent exercise that works all the major muscle groups. All of which will help you, the New Mommy, at so many levels --help your sense of well-being, promote good sleep, tone your abs. The shoulder strengthening you'll achieve in swimming will help you carry (or should I say... " " ) those precious little ones. Now don't you balk at the idea of putting on a bathing suit! I happen to know a LOL ( " Lady of the Lockerroom!!! " )at my swim club who has a very prominent belly due to big fibroids. But she's never had symptoms, and now she's just beginning menopause, so she's decided to live with 'em. What an example of grace, beauty...and fashion--even with a large belly. That woman has at least a dozen different suits, one more attractive than the next. And such enviable posture, which I'm sure is due to a good attitude AND regular swimming. If she can pull it off, so can all of us!! Now, about that website--- , I think you--and ALL OF US LOL-- should peruse this particular site for inspiration. It's high time we stopped hating our tumescent tummies, and start honoring them. Yes, honor them!!! And THAT's the title of this website. http://www.honoringyourbelly.com/site_map.html " Honor Thy Belly?!!!!!!! " No, it may never become the Eleventh Commandment. BUT-- I certainly think it should become one of the " Golden Rules " to live by-- for the Ladies of the List. Let me know what you think! -Belly Honoring Roma (Revering the Rotundity!!!) :-) In a message dated 5/31/2004 11:13:15 PM Eastern Daylight Time, imacrock@... writes: Hi All! Curious if anyone else is unable to lie on their stomach due to their lovely protruding fibroid??? I am 11 weeks post c-sect (had some REALLY stinkin' cute twins! ) and my Gigantor 'Roid (intramural in the fundus), though it has shrunk some, is still causing quite a bit of belly distention. My uterus is still quite large and I am bleeding lots, but I am desperate to try to tighten up my abdomen ----- at least the parts that were stretched due to carrying the babies! It is near impossible for my to lay on my stomach --- it is the weirdest sensation. I discovered this while trying to do Pilates - which was recommended by my OB to tighten up my abdominal wall. Sooooo, who's got the magic belly tightening/excersing/get-me-to- stop-looking-6-months-preggo-with-twins answer????? I'll settle for being able to lay on my belly ----- my favorite sleeping postion. Side note: My OB wants to wait until July to see if the invader and uterus will shrink down as the preggo hormones decrease. Who was it that said, " the wayyyyiting is the harrr-dest part . . . " Thanks for any input you fabulous ladies provide! My best,
