Guest guest
To Mgeglia: I've been posting and reading only intermittently on this board lately so if my message is redundant or you've already seen an IR, I apologize but.... Having two docs say that you are not a good candidate for UAE does not mean that they know what they are talking about. Unless you have adenomyosis or pendunculated fibroids (on a stalk either inside or outside the uterus) multiple fibroids are not a reason why you could not consider UAE. Many women have found that the only way to get a proper assessment is by having a consultation with an Interventional Radiologist, and by having an MRI to determine the position and location and type of your fibroids. I had over 4 fibroids, the largest being around 10cm. My UAE was in May 2003 and I consider that it's been very successful in eliminating the symptoms that I had. ========== To Cyndi - you are having the same type of symptoms as I had. I waited for a year but finally realized that the urinary problems were becoming too much of an issue and were getting worse. The UAE was a good solution for that. best to all, laurie g.
