Hi Ladies,

This is probably my last question prior to surgery. I know I'll be

needing laxatives and wondered what type worked best for you??? I'm

not big on syrups.A pill would be ideal or something that I don't

have to have a horrific taste in my mouth that works well would be

great!!! any suggestions???

Thank you all and have a great and safe memorial day weekend!

Shaunah,

My doctor recently prescribed Miralax - it's a prescription laxative and it

easily dissolves in water and doesn't have any taste. I've only used it once (I

suffer from frequent constipation, but don't want to become too dependent on a

laxative) and it worked well. It takes a few days longer to work than an over

the counter laxative (2 days for me), but I didn't have any stomach cramps or

other side effects.

Good luck with your surgery!

Hi, and best wishes on your surgery, I will be thinking about you.

I used milk o magnesia and thank god for it. Nothing pleasurable

worked for me. The MOM taste doesn't linger and the stuff works.

When they tell you eat bland, believe them and if your unsure what

bland is I promise you it doesn't mean just skipping mexican food

food for a while.
