I'm currently awaiting an ultrasound to confirm that I have these lovely little so-and-sos... Because I have an ileostomy, my specialist informs me that I am a bad risk for any kind of abdominal surgery. She says my best options for treatment if fibroids are present are: 1)progesterone injections or 2)a progesterone-emitting IUD (I am not in the least interested in trying the latter.) Any thoughts? I searched the group archives for 'progesterone' and 'hormone', but didn't come up with much... perhaps someone could suggest a different keyword search.
