Guest guest
I have been reading this list for awhile nowand trying to I consider my options. I have one 10 cm fibroid, one 7 cm and a bunch of smaller ones. I don't suffer from the cramping or the bleeding. My main complaint is that of feeling constantly bloated, feeling that hard round thing in my belly, feeling like I'm 4 months pregnant. There's some more frequent than normal need to pee, and sometimes I can't eat as much (not a bad thing!). I have a lot more discomfort than pain. And then, usually nothing that really bothers me unless I'm looking in a mirror or trying to get into some of the clothes that I can't anymore due to the fibroids. I've been watching them for about a year - they've grown about 20% in that time. My doctor says to give it another 6 months and then make a decision on what course to follow. Part of me says, yeah, that seems like a reasonable thing to do. Practically speaking, if I were to have a myo, I would want to schedule it for early August because of my work schedule. If it didn't happen then, I'd be looking at the following June before I could do it without missing the majority of my working season. My doctor was not crazy about the UFE option. He felt that for me a myo was the best bet. Part of me just wants to GET THEM OUT OF ME! The other part thinks that I'm reacting in a hysterical manner and I should be more patient and circumspect about this. Let me also add that I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis which takes up most of the time I allot for my medical concerns. There is no easy fix for that. Is a myo an easy fix for this? Anyway, I'm anxious to hear some advice. Thanks gloria
