So about that big post-myo lump...

I posted a couple days ago asking if anyone had this occur after myo.

I did call the Dr., who would have been happy to see me but I had no

way to get up to Cambridge . He said it sounded like either a hernia

or a " bruise', but he didn't see why it would occur so high on my

belly. He advised seeing my PCP.

I saw the PCP this morning who believes it is, in fact, a big

hematoma.(it's about the size and shape of an egg) It will take a

period of weeks for it to be reabsorbed by the body. It's very

tender, but hey- at least it's not a hernia!!

How I ended up with this thing- I suppose I'll never know.

Feeling much better (post-myo day 8) aside from the soreness from

the " bruise " . The incision really doesn't bother me at all- sometimes

starts to sting if I overdo things. I did some light house-cleaning

today because I just couldn't bear the mess!

What made you decide to do the myomectomy as opposed to embolisation
