Guest guest
Hi, Fibroids can cause pain. I think you should see a RE (Reproductive Endocrinologist). If you have both problems or just one, a RE may be able to help you. They specialize in fertility issues. They can remove fibroids and treat endo. By the way, DEFINITE diagnosis of endometriosis is only possible by the direct observation of the misplaced endometrium. This requires a laparoscopy, where a fine telescope is inserted into the abdominal cavity through a tiny incision to allow inspection of the pelvic organs. Sometimes tissue samples are taken to confirm the diagnosis. I don't remember you saying your doc did this. Try a new doc for something this important. Both endo and fibroids can be treated. Early treatment by a RE may be able to help you have the child you want. I wouldn't say that fibroids are nothing to worry about. They can cause a lot of problems and misery. If you are bleeding heavy, you need to check for anemia. Fibroids often have no symptoms and many women are unaware that they have them. But they can cause anemia, problems getting preggo, problems with miscarriage plus other problems too. I think you really need to see a good RE. Tell the women here where you are from and they might know a doc for you. Crying and stress will only make things worse. Try to keep calm. You have support here. I had been experiencing pain approximately a week prior to my period and during my period on the left hand side, since December. Thus..the reason for the US. Anyway I asked the Doctor if my pain was caused by the fibroids and he said probably not, firbroids are common, you most likely have endometriosis. WHAT? Wouldn't the US show that? I am getting married in August of this year and would like to have at least one child. Now..from what I read having fibroids as well as endometriosis can cause you to become infertile. I saw a few options for treatment of the fibroids and some of them alarmed me. Needless to say I woke up this moring in pain and started to cry because i don't know what I should do. I meet with my doctor next week and i do have a few questions for him..but it appears as though " fibroids " are " common " and there is nothing to worry about.. Any information/feedback would be appreciated. Thanks so much.
